Tuesday night Alexander Gilkes, Haute Living, Paddle8 and Dr. Lee Gause held an auction benefiting Smile Design Gallery. Selling pieces from Chi Modu, Takashi Murakami, Angelo Romano, Robert Peterson, UR New York and an original Swizz Beatz masterpiece, this gruesome group raised over $100,000 solely for the patients from Camden, New Jersey
Through the Moet pouring and cameras flashing, the stereotypical stuffy atmosphere was lax and casual. Even celebs like Angela Simmons, Emily Bustamante, Damien “Dame” Escobarstayed the entire night, chatted with the artists and guests, rather than the typical 15 minute photo-op dash.
“I am a believer that social enterprise will move the great masses of humanity forward. American children did not ask to be born in the poorest city in the country. These kids want laughter, compassion, and love,” said Dr. Lee Gause, Founder of Smile Design Gallery.
