Welcome to the digital age people. At this point there’s no turning back. With twitter, Instagram, blogging, Facebook, foursquare, Pinterest and the soon to be thousands other ways our lives can be publically documents, talents we love are much more available to us now than ever before. Especially the talent of The Lions Brand. Through their recent re-launch, The Lions has put the sharing capabilities at your fingertips. No more taking screenshots to post via social media. No more googling for handles. No more clicking next to move to the next photo. No more wondering who these people are and what they’ve actually done. It’s all there in one sleek, easy to use layout. Thanks to Jason Duzansky, Creative Director of Steven Meisel Studio, who’s understanding of simple eclecticism has truly made many brands what they are today.
Today we talk with Louie Chaban, Partner at The Lions about this digital move. (FYI, their roster has pulled the likes of Karen Elson, Agyness Deyn, Anne Vyalitsyna (ou Anne V), Jessica Hart, Frankie Rayder and Cameron Russell.)
Why the re-launch?
It was important for us to make a statement that there is a new beginning at The Lions.
How did Jason Duzansky get involved?
We have been very lucky to work with Jason throughout the years. He has a beautiful aesthetic. He was very excited to work with us on our new project.
How do you think going digital will leverage you in the modeling industry?
While the fashion industry has modernized a great deal, modeling agencies have been slow to innovate. The world has gone digital. It is an essential component for managing long lasting careers. The Lions Brand developed a robust, customized website that unifies the agency brand with our talent’s brands, looking to creatively engage our audience with social media integration.
Do you see other managements following suit?
It’s inevitable.
You have some of the hottest models on board, how?
We have been managing some of our talent since the beginning of their careers. We stand apart because of our personal management and branding philosophy. We work with each talent individually to creatively formulate a plan of action and each strategy is unique to the individual talent.
Tell us about the ladies on board, what do you think, besides their striking looks, makes them so special?
Our talent, as we prefer to call them, are all unique. We represent individuals. Some are actors, artists and musicians and entrepreneurs. For us at The Lions, creativity is crucial
