MARC BY MARC JACOBS S/S 2013 RUNWAY REPORT

MJ1

The Marc by Marc Jacobs S/S13 collection stands above the rest as a whimsical and artful masterpiece on how to mix prints, layer clothes, and stay fashion forward. Unafraid to layer checkered, floral, striped, geometric, or even plaid prints on top of each other is a true gift – as any 5 year old who tries to dress themselves or an onlooker can attest. The youthfulness and eclectic vibe that Marc Jacobs has created this season was kicked up a notch with his versatile use of the traditional scarf – mostly red and blue Maasai-inspired scarves, worn as a turban, obi, bandana or belt. Wooden Geisha slippers worn with chunky wool socks finished the look that added a bit of corky hipster to many ensembles.
