Drew Barrymore joins Shutterfly as the latest tastemaker to curate a line of personalized items showcasing the many ways Shutterfly can make your area, truly yours in their Design Studio. Held in the Penthouse of the Hudson Hotel, the room was decorated with an array of customized gifts, cards and home décor pieces made by Drew, as well as other design ideas from their team.
And these ideas are truly special. Think personalized wine glasses or mason jars with handles, or throw pillows with inside jokes. Recently, I stayed up until sunrise
creating thematic photo cubes – not for my desk, but to organize my beauty area – with images from their new Art Library. It’s an expansive collection of free photos and artworks that can be used on just about anything – except for the duvet cover. I tried making a duvet cover with the Texas state flag blazoned all across it (because that’s what people from Texas do), but the resolutions weren’t high enough. Overtime there will be more and more images of variable resolutions added, but as of right now, being able to work on the scope of everything except a duvet seems perfectly fine.
My top 3 must haves in Drew’s collection –
- Tout Va Bien pillow – they may be white, but they are machine washable in case someone gets a bit clumsy. Typically not a fan of varying letter colors, but for some reason I love this.
- Catch-all tray – the design was done by Drew’s little girl. Before knowing, it reminded me of one those basic sketches popular in foreign cartoons.
- Bracket Monogram Name Wine Glass – I mean… do I really need a reason.
