MCM Worldwide celebrated the relaunch of their Patricia Crossbody bag this past Saturday with Sports Illustrated model and Victoria’s Secret Angel, Erin Heatherton. DJ Brendan Fallis came out to hear Leigh Lezark and Geordon Nicol of The Misshapes do a set at the MCM Roosevelt Field store in Garden City, New York while Erin taught fans how to take the perfect selfie. Because, I mean, if anyone could teach you how to take a perfect selfie, it would be a model… DUH! Have you seen their Instagrams, or SnapChats? Like, only a model or Demarchelier could capture angles like that.
No surprise a big hit, the MCM critter collection bag charms and Monkey Series Charm were fan favorites, as were the stylish MCM Motorcycle Jackets Leigh and Geordon both sported!
To give a bit of history, the Patricia Crossbody is a vintage style resurrected from the MCM 1970’s archives. The bag re-launched for spring 2016 in plain black or cognac leather, classic cognac, and white MCM monogrammed print. Styles come in size mini to small retailing from $650 – $820. I called it a while back, but you better go out and stock up on MCM because it will become more popular than the LV Neverfull. No joke. I’ve have a personalized envelope clutch, but am pining for a Reversible Liz Visetos Shopper because you can turn it inside out; I’m not the biggest fan of monograms, but need something to carry my entire life in.
