Remember those inflatable mules and ankle boots showcased during Jeremy Scott’s Spring/Summer 16 show? Well they’ve added six new designs to the collaboration after an exceptionally successful release.
The collection consists of the Melissa Inflatable Mule, Melissa Ankle Boot, two flats coined Melissa Space Love and Melissa Ultragirl, Melissa Tube sandal and mini rain boots, Mini Melissa Monkey (so the kiddies get in on the fun as well). Featuring an air nozzle to replicate Scott’s inflatable shoe, all styles are available for purchase at Galeria Melissa stores. Shops in São Paulo and London even hosted unique exhibitions of inflatable art objects signed by Jeremy Scott and opened to the public for viewing.
“I do always like the idea of putting a smile on people´s faces when they see my work and hopefully surprising them. One of the reasons I choose to do this collaboration with Melissa was because I wanted to share my designs with more people and I felt this would be a great way to do that. I love seeing people wearing my designs and that they can be part of people´s everyday life,” says Jeremy Scott.
In honor of the launch, Melissa Shoes x Jeremy Scott co-hosted a celebratory event at famed nightclub PanAm in São Paulo, Brazil. Guests included Brazilian popstar, Anitta, Brazilian TV personalities, Sabrina Sato and Julia Faria (all dressed in Moschino and Melissa + Jeremy Scott Inflatable mules and ankle boots of course), Diplo and Skrillex.
