Keeping to our New Year’s Resolutions, just got a bit harder. Amedei Tuscany, Tuscany’s answer to all things chocolate, opens its first boutique, EVER, in New York City. Crafted in Pontedera, Tuscany by Cecilia Tessieri, Amedei offers over 140 specially manufactured items including Cru bars from Peru, Venezuala, Madagascar and more. Now New Yorkers can devour these delicacies at leisure.
In 1990, Tessieri, the only female master chocolatier in the world, traveled the globe to explore the finest cacao beans that hold indigenous characteristics. Seven years later, the first “Amedei” chocolate was born, the Toscano Black 70%. Till this day, Cecilia supervises the bean to bar production ensuring all product come from best harvests, and comply with ethical and humanitarian standards Amedei was founded on. Plus all beans not used during production are resold, promising steady income for cocoa farmers.
Amedei store is located in New York’s hip Union Square at 15 East 18th Street. Cecilia will visit the boutique this month and for every Facebook like, you will be automatically entered to win a chance to meet the master in person.
