How-to: The 60s Dolly Birds of Paradise

Look 1
Prep the hair with CATWALK by TIGI Bodifying Spray, spraying on to damp hair from roots to ends.

Section the hair and use rollers to create volume. Set the hair with CATWALK by TIGI Work It Spray

Once the hair has cooled, remove the rollers and backcomb the roots of the section, spraying again with CATWALK by TIGI Work It Spray

Pin the headband into place and set with CATWALK by TIGI Work It Spray

Look 2
Prep the hair with CATWALK by TIGI Bodifying Spray, spraying onto damp hair from roots to ends

Section the hair and use rollers to create volume. Set the hair with CATWALK by TIGI Work It Spray

Once the hair has cooled, remove the rollers and backcomb the roots of the section, spraying again with CATWALK by TIGI Work It Spray

Pin the headband into place and set with CATWALK by TIGI Work It Spray

Look 3

Prep the hair with CATWALK by TIGI Bodifying Spray, spraying onto damp hair from root to end.

Next, part hair in the middle and divide into even sections.

Tong the hair loosely to create soft wave.

Backcomb around the crown and spray with CATWALK by TIGI Work It Hairspray.

Gather the hair loosely at the back, at the nape of the neck and pull into a plait.

Spray lightly allover with CATWALK by TIGI Work it Hairspray to set the look into place.

Look 4

Start with freshly washed and conditioned hair.

Spray lightly all over with CATWALK by TIGI Work it Hairspray to keep fly-aways down and create a tight silhouette.

Look 5

Brush dry, clean hair back off of the face.

Next, pull into a tight bun at the nape of the neck.

Spray lightly allover with CATWALK by TIGI Work it Hairspray to bind the hair close to the scalp.

Carefully fit the wig onto the head and smooth down.

Brush, straighten and create aside parting with the wig.

Ensure the bun is tucked out of view and secure with pins.

Look 6

Start with freshly washed and conditioned hair.

Next, flatten the hair around the scalp and tie into a bun.

Spray lightly all over with CATWALK by TIGI Work it Hairspray to bind the hair close to the scalp.

Carefully fit the turban and secure with pins around the edge.

Look 7

Brush dry, clean hair back off of the face.

Next, pull into a tight bun at the nape of the neck.

Spray lightly allover with CATWALK by TIGI Work it Hairspray to bind the hair close to the scalp.

Carefully fit the wig onto the head and smooth down.

Work the wig into a side sweeping fringe and straighten.

Create the flicks with a hair dryer and round brush, spritzing with hairspray as you go.  

Ensure the bun is tucked out of view and secure with pins.

Look 8

Prep hair with CATWALK by TIGI Strong Hold Mousse and then blow dry to amp up the volume.

Back comb at the roots to enhance the high silhouette.

Tease hair and spritz with CATWALK by TIGI Bodifying Spray to create alight texture. Applying to the roots stops the hair becoming weighed down.

Spray very lightly all over with CATWALK by TIGI Work it Hairspray to set the look into place with movement.

Look 9

Prep the hair with CATWALK by TIGI Strong Hold Mousse to create a good foundation for the look.

Next, back comb the entire head to create volume and height.

Use CATWALK by TIGI Bodifying Spray to create a round, soft shape.

Place a large scarf at the front of the head, a few centimeters up from the forehead and tie at the nape of the neck under the hair. Pin in place.

Lightly tong the ends that hang around the shoulders for a feminine curl effect.

Spray lightly allover with CATWALK by TIGI Work it Hairspray to set the look into place with movement.
