Les Copains does knitwear like no other, and this season creative director Stefania Bandieracontinues the legacy with chunky, one-size-fits-all sweaters draped over lace skirts. Bandiera softened the the roughness and heaviness of the stereotypically more masculine materials, with the softness of organza and sheers. Key colors of the collection included the usual grays, whites and blacks, with accents of varying greens and light pink. Other looks played off the 1940s inspiration of high-waisted pencil skirts, delicate cardigans, a modern take of the twin cherry pattern in large motifs, Glen plaid wool bombers, and my favorite style – a Little Red Riding Hood coat in a bronz-ish, olive green.
