Wallis, a premium high street fashion line, is now available stateside to show us that fast fashion shouldn’t be ripping at the seams after one wear. Originally from the England, Wallis has been a go to brand since its first store opened in London in 1932. A little while back, I attended their press preview where Senior Head Designer, Sital Mehta, schooled us on their SS13 and FW13 collections.
Spring/Summer was filled with colorful caftans, light colored painter pant suits, that could be worn together or separate and brightly hued accessories that make any outfit pop. Many of the jewelry items doubled as bracelets and necklaces and came in variable styles channeling the on trend tribal theme seen on the runway.
For Fall/Winter, they served us punk rock perfection. Pointed toe heels with gold grommets, embellished black cardigans appropriate for work or for an underground club, and knee high stiletto boots that ladies will go gaga over. My favorite pieces BY FAR is the one shoulder Orchid Floral Maxi Dress and charcoal grey gold grommet heels.
At a fair price point, sizes ranging from 4 to 16, and in pieces available in multiple patterns, styles and silhouettes, Wallis will soon be flooding your closets. So you might as well finish that Spring Cleaning now.
