The Golden Globes are tomorrow which means it’s the official start to red-carpet season. And I don’t know about you, but there is nothing more exciting than gleaming over the leading ladies dressed to the nines and slayed by the gods, and the bearded beaus tailored to perfection and sharp. So to start the weekend off right, yesterday, stars celebrated the inaugural Moët Moment Film Festival winner with Gina Rodriguez (actress of Jane the Virgin) serving as a festival judge. Other judges included David Guillod (Producer), Rachel Sheedy (Brio Entertainment), Ryan Tarpley (CAA) and We Are From L.A. (directors of Pharrell’s 24-hour music video Happy).
Adam Richman received the 2016 Moët Moment Film Festival grand prize for his filmSPLENDOR about a 1936 turquoise bus filled with folk and rock & roll musicians, driving the west coast, giving away free concerts.
Moët Moment Film Festival was designed to give back to the creative community by supporting the next generation of Hollywood’s brightest storytellers via the medium of film. This year’s theme was CAPTURE THE NOW, where its focus was on seizing all the experiences in a person’s life and “truly living with spontaneity and without regrets.” Basically, it’s what carpe diem really means. Not that diluted middle school jargon some teacher told you when you were too shy to tell the boy you liked, you liked him. Anyway, the winner receives a $25,000 filmmaking grant and will be attending the 73rdAnnual Golden Globe Awards as Moët’s special guest.
