Hair Inspiration: Castillo for MOP haircare and ghd
“Since the dress was custom-made, I really wanted the hair to be cohesive with the vision of the designer.”
How-to
“I started with a wash which is the foundation. I used MOP mixed greens shampoo and stuck with a moisturizing one to help her hair withstand humidity and heat from the tools.”
Next use MOP’s pear detangler and comb through the hair to untangle and minimize frizz. Add MOP mixed greens leave-in conditioner from mid-shaft to the end to help coat any damage or dryness.
Continue with MOP lemongrass lift root spray to help with setting the hair.
“I rough blow-dried the hair using the ghd Air Hairdryer until it was about 80% dry, then brushed through it with the ghd Paddle Brush to take out any tangles.”
With a tail comb, create a side part, then section by section flat brush blow-dry the hair straight before going over each section with the ghd Platinum Styler from mid hair shaft to end.
Once done straightening, take a dollop size amount of MOP orange peel molding cream and coat root to mid hair shaft the side of the hair. Brush it through with a finishing brush and then with a twisting motion, twist behind the ear and down the back of the neck. “I repeated this same technique, minus the twist and gathered her hair into a low ponytail, secured it with a hair bungee and wrapped a section of hair around the bungee to conceal it.”
Finish the look with spritz of MOP’s c-system firm hair spray around the hair line and around the ponytail.
