In the wake of news that Kanye West has cancelled his Paris Fashion Week runway show – this might be for the best as he wasn’t well received on his last two efforts – comes the rapper-turned-designer’s sophomore collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti. Giuseppe and Kanye’s last collaboration was a pair of $5,800-ish pearly white caviar-beaded knit open-toe calf-skin stiletto booties which were picked up by Colette!
The second style created in collaboration with Zanotti is much more tamed and classic. The shoe entitled “Cruel Summer” is crafted in honor of Kanye’s brand new collaborative album, G.O.O.D. Music’s ‘Cruel Summer’. The all-white ultra-high stilettos feature Grecian-style feather plumes motif, echoing the album’s cover art. We must note that although we haven’t seen the shoe in person that it reminds us of the Hermes-inspired winged sneaker by Jeremy Scott although there are no wings/feathers hanging off the side and it’s a stiletto. (Are we reaching?)
No word on when they’ll hit stores or how much they’ll cost, but we anticipate seeing them at Colette sometime next fashion week!
