In November, we perused the 2016 lash launches from KISS Products, Inc. and even received one-on-one demonstrations from celebrity makeup artist and KISS Ambassador, Marni Burton. Marni provided so much information, insider tips, and helpful tricks that there was no way we couldn’t pass it along to you as well!
How-to put lashes on properly: (Note the operative word PROPERLY!)
- Sit in front of a mirror and tilt your head back.
- Apply KISS Blooming Lash starting at the outer corner moving towards the inner corner (first without glue!) and determine if lashes should be trimmed based on your eye shape/size
- If you want more drama, keep the ends long and trim from the inside, if you want a more natural look, trim the same amount from each end of the strip (do the outer first).
- Squeeze glue onto the lash tray then dip lash strip into the glue or apply glue directly to the strip using KISS Strip Lash Adhesive. Let dry for 10 seconds (or until tacky).
- “For more advanced users, try KISS Aloe Vera Strip Lash Adhesive glue which is jet black and blends seamlessly with makeup and looks like liquid liner.”
- Apply lashes using a tweezer or finger tips starting at the outer corner of the lash line moving inward, pressing down as you place lashes onto your natural lash line. As you get closer to the inner corners, it is best to look directly in the mirror
- Apply light pressure to seal in place, et voila!
Finding the perfect pair of lashes and what makes KISS Blooming Lash ideal:
- Always opt for lightweight, natural looking lashes. The new KISS Blooming Lash flawlessly blends with your natural lashes and creates a flutter effect with the Multi-Angle Technology. I often like to select based on eye shape, but since KISS Blooming Lash have the multi-angle technology combined with Tapered End Technology they just need to be cut to find ‘your perfect pair’ A lot is personal preference, do you prefer subtle lashes or more glamour, dramatic. There are 5 styles to choose from so you can switch it day or night or based on occasion.
Biggest mistakes NOT to make:
- Applying the full lash. Lashes need to be cut to fit your eye shape, this will make them look the most natural. With cutting, many people cut the wrong side. Always cut the outer end because of how it blends with the natural lash.
- Applying incorrectly – the best way to apply is to place outward to inward in two steps.
- Make sure to wait 10 seconds for the lash glue to try before applying. The glue will be a bit tacky but not wet so will adhere better.
