This year marks the 15th anniversary of celebrated British Designer, Matthew Williamson. For Spring/Summer 2013, Williamson decided to celebrate his company’s anniversary by revisiting his debut ‘Electric Angels’ collection and rediscovering his love of India both in textiles and color. “We thought it’s been 15 years so let’s take the DNA of the brand and all the elements we love” says Williamson. An explosion of color featuring azure, turquoise and fuchsia were not the only sign of India or the annual Holi Festival, sparkling beads and mirror ornaments were scattered amongst the collection with refinement and precision. A unique touch that Williamson added was working with the artist Shane McAdams, who created abstract images of areas like Kerala and Tibet that emerged on some of the trousers.
