Rainforest Action Network (RAN) and longtime supporter Chris Noth return to New York for eco rock – an auction fundraiser to support the protection of the world’s rainforests, current climate change, and defending human rights. Through strategic corporate campaigning, RAN has pressured some of the largest culprits like General Mills, Bank of America, Disney, Burger King, to adopt better practices that “keep rainforests standing, halt climate threatening emissions, and protect human rights.”
This Friday (yes, tomorrow!), you too can take part in this mission at eco rock. Featuring a poetry reading by Howard Altman, a live performance by Amy Vachal from The Voice, and a special musical set from Suzanne Vega while bidding on some pretty sweet items. Think an Elite Island Galley Bay Resort & Spa Antigua 7 Night All Inclusive Stay, or a Sex and the City “Mr. Big” Chris Noth Movie Worn Blue Pinstriped Suit all for the sake of the rainforest and human rights! Imagine if we had these sort of goodies during our grade school fundraisers. We wouldn’t have been left selling candy door-to-door, that’s for sure.
Can’t make it? That’s ok too. You will still be able to bid online, from anywhere, by following this link. Just keep an eye out as you may be out bid.
