With Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week quickly approaching, it’s time to let your inner DIY Leandra Medine or Marc Jacobs flag fly high. You never know, you could get the next big thing. And as a head-start, Rowenta, has partnered with MBFW for a special contest for our Tri-state and Philadelphia area residents.
What is it? Well From August 5, 2013 through August 20th, 2013, Rowenta wants all you fashion lovers, budding designers and design students to upload a photo of your best DIY fashion design or original sketch showcasing fabric manipulation techniques resulting from ironing. Once again, show us your best DIY fashion design or original sketch demonstrating fabric manipulation from using an iron. Got it? Good.
Now, two (2) winners will be chosen by DIY Expert Jenni Radosevich and Fashion Designer Althea Harper to then attend a fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City.
You have roughly two weeks, so starting designing or sketching! Detailed instructions are as follows –
1) Participants must be 18 years or older residing in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT) and the Philadelphia Area
2) Use your creativity to upload a photo of your best DIY fashion design or an original design sketch highlighting fabric manipulation techniques as a result of using an iron.
3) Post to your personal Facebook page and/or Rowenta’s Facebook page using the following caption:
“Check out my latest fashion design! I hope @RowentaUSA chooses me to attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!”
4) Contest will end at 11:59 PM Easter Time on Tuesday, August 20th and will be judged by DIY Expert, @IspyDIY Jenni Radosevich and Fashion Guru, @AltheaHarper
