With the world we live in today, you can never show enough kindness. That’s why we love thatAlice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet have taken the initiative to use their platform positively. An opportunity to spread the message of love, kindness and positivity, Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet collaborated with artist David Choe for the launch of the Kindness Project. Renowned for his collaborative efforts with Jay-Z and Linkin Park’s “Collision Course”, President Barack Obama’s portrait during his 2008 race and muraling the office walls of Facebook, Choe has marked select pieces of this capsule collection with his “A Woman and a Monkey” painting, which Stacey describes his work as, “some of the most beautiful pieces of artwork that I’ve ever seen.”
And though the launch party focused around their project, Alice + Olivia celebrated in true artistic style. With the interactive black light room, to the disco dance floor, to tasteful performance of famed burlesque dance, Hazel Honeysuckle, to Hannah Bronfman DJing throughout the evening, there never was a lull moment. We even found out what trends Bendet’s looking forward to this spring, “It’s all about the crop top! I love the proportion of just shorter tops, with high waist skirts and those, kind of like, separate items.”
The capsule collection will be available throughout their Spring 2014 collection. For where to purchase, or to find out more about the #KindnessProject, visit them online. For moments from the event visit @TillieEze or @StyleCartel for video and images.
