It’s Winter… ok, it’s actually Fall but feels like Winter, and that means all activities for me need to be inside and accompanied by drinks that can warm (i.e. liquor) or are warm (i.e. tea, coco, or hot liquors). Otherwise, I’ll be tucked away hibernating in socks with Netflix on repeat. But, I don’t want this season to be like those of years’ past, so have come across ways to stimulate your senses and make leaving the house made-up, well worth it.
Here are a few happenings in Manhattan that may convince you to pop on those lashes, or at least brush your hair. W Hotels in New York have launched Artist in Residence at W NY – Union Square, Private Art Suites at W New York – Times Square, and a 150-foot LomoWall debut at W New York in Midtown. Art Opening & Reception for ‘Closer’, an aerial photo exhibit by Dinesh Boaz
Starting Nov 8th – Feb 1st, W New York — Union Square’s Living Room lobby will be transformed into an art gallery. The ‘Closer’ exhibit by visiting artist Dinesh Boaz includes a series of aerial photos (boldly taken from doorless helicopters) capturing the calm of even the most hectic places; a natural tie-in with the hotel’s iconic location in bustling Union Square. Please join for cocktails and mingling with the artist.

Suite Dreams Private Art Rooms
From Nov 9th – March 31st, W New York — Times Square will be offering guests the chance to book two Suite Dreams Art Suites at the hotel. The Suites have been transformed into a gallery of sparkling fashion-inspired works by digital collage artist Maxwell Burnstein. The cutting-edge artwork is handmade using traditional analog technologies. You’re invited for an exclusive sneak peak of the Art Suite, drinks + apps, and mingling with Maxwell.

What: The Biggest LomoWall Exhbit in History
To celebrate 25 years of experiential photography, the four W Hotels of New York will celebrate a new partnership with analog photography organization, Lomography. A 150-foot LomoWall of thousands of photographs will debut in the hotel’s lobby and you’re invited to join us for the party. If you’re interested in covering the new package, guests of the four W Hotels in New York will also be gifted with either the Dian F+ or Lomo’Instant Automat camera through December.
